2 Days in Mumbai: South Bombay Classics and a Bandra Evening
A tight two-day Mumbai itinerary: Gateway and Colaba, a local-train-optional afternoon, and Bandra for food and sea-facing wind-down.

Mumbai is not a “see three forts” city. Eat well, walk a neighbourhood, and pick one view of the sea. Two days is a taste, not a tour.
Day 1 — Island city
- Gateway of India and a short Colaba Causeway walk — go early.
- Taj Mahal Palace from the outside; Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya if you want one museum.
- Marine Drive at sunset. Sit on the wall. That is the activity.
- Dinner in Kala Ghoda or Fort. Book if it is a weekend.
Day 2 — Bandra and the west
- Optional: a morning at Banganga or a quick Crawford Market pass if you like chaos.
- Move to Bandra. Bandstand or Carter Road for the Arabian Sea from another angle.
- Lunch in Bandra West. Leave airport time that assumes traffic will win.
Practical notes
- Monsoon (June–September) is atmospheric and slow; trains and roads both suffer.
- Taxis and metro beat driving yourself.
- Do not schedule a meeting in Andheri and a sunset at Marine Drive 40 minutes apart. The city will laugh.
When you have more than a layover, let Jento stretch this into a longer India trip.
